In 6000 B.C. early peopple settled in the Nile Valley amd began to use clay and silt from the river to make pottery. As time went by, in 4500 B.C., ships were used for the first time and it was the main transport for the people to trade. In 3100 B.C. Hieroglyphic script developed, which was the first type of writing invented. Throughout the years more and more achievements were made and building structures were created. In 2700 B.C. the first stone pyramid was built and in 2600 B.C. pyramids of Giza were built. The next time periods includes news leaders/pharaohs and battles between different civilizations. The Egyptians started to control Nubia in 1900 B.C.. After the pyramids were invented, they started to be made in different parts of the area. In 1550 B.C. royal tombs were built in the Valley of the Kings. Tutankhaman became Pharaoh and traditional religions returned in 1400 B.C.. Sadly, in 1100 B.C. upper and lower Egypt split, then in 671 B.C. the Assyrians attacked Egypt. About 100 years later, in 525 B.C., the Persians conquered Egypt. Alexander the Great also conquered Egypt and ended the era of the New Kingdom in 332 B.C.. The next pharaoh was Ptolemy I in 305 B.C. In 196 B.C. the Rosetta Stone was carved, and lastly the Battle of Actium occured in 31 B.C.
